lol, not anymore. You can't hear the turbo at all, only the exhaust. Sad I was disappointed.

Hye guys, just throwing it out there. I've talked to some people over the last few years who expressed interest in doing a fantasy football league but nothing has ever really developed. I think it's because no one took the intitiative to step up and take control and start one, so I'm taking the initiative. Would anyone want to do one? If we get enough interest, like say, at least 8 but prefferably 10 or 12 people then I'll start one up. We can discuss buy in and payouts if anyone's interested and try and work with everyone's budget. But we need to do it soon if we're going to do it, the season starts in like 2 weeks and we would need to get everyone organized to do a draft before that.

WOW!!! I am impressed it had over 100whp. Must be that exhaust. Awesome. Can't wait to see how the turbo kit turns out. The civic definitely won't be able to keep up. Sad

Title says it all. Wanted to do a before and after run with the turbo kit. This was obviously the before run.

107 WHP and 123 WTQ. I was hoping to get 160 WHP after the turbo kit, and I really think it'd doable now that I know it's already at 107. I expected it to make about 80-90 WHP and didn't know if the turbo kit would be capable of doubling the WHP, but it should def be able to add 50-60 WHP. Oh and that one thats 102/114, we turned the A/C on. Grin I'll update it with the after run hopefully next week. We already have the turbo kit at the garage, just waiting on the meth kit and the cam and then start bolting it all together.

Yeah, he ordered a rebuild kit from g pop shop. Hopefully it last long. I will get video, just waiting to finishing the exhaust so that we can hear the turbo. So far it is only an open downpipe and it is too hard to hear.

So, we finally put steve's old holset vgt turbo onto my buddies truck. I didn't take any before or process pictures, so I will just show a random stock pic and the afters.
Stock

After

We had to make an elbow to go from the standard T3 flange to the VGTs version of the T3 flange (wider)

There is a ton of room in his engine bay, but surprisingly things were tight and we had to stick the actuator (that operates the variable geometry) down between the frame rail and body.

The new 4" downpipe we ran. We took 9" out of the downpipe that was mandrel bent to work perfect on the truck stock.

All buttoned up.

So far my buddy has it running 20psi, same as stock but much higher air flow and much faster spool. It seems like a very nice upgrade and wasn't too bad of an install, but took longer than we had expected. (about 20 hours total)

Wow, this place is a ghost town anymore. Any one got anything to say? I put all polyurethane bushings in the jetta, cause I am that hardcore that even my daily has urethane bushings. I'd really like to get it out to an autoX even more now, so if anyone wants to go let me know and maybe we can get a group together. Unless you're all too scared that a 90 HP jetta might just spank you around the course.  Grin
